Description: Experienced and enthusiastic senior quality professional required to set up a new dedicated quality function within a busy and highly successful niche sector manufacturing operation.
Our client has been established for almost a quarter of a century and specialise in highest quality plastic injection moulding solutions for a diverse range of clients and applications.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to assist in the development of the quality team and enhance quality procedures in accordance with ISO 14001 9001.
In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of new recording procedures within a dedicated software package as well as undertaking quality control inspections and liaising with customers on any quality related issues.
You will set up and maintain controls and documenting procedures as well as ensuring bought-in components meet the required standards and will be adept in constantly looking at ways to both reduce costs and waste whilst increasing productivity and efficiency, and you will be instrumental in the identification and provision of required staff training as well as performance management and reviews as required.
In what is a very much hands-on role, you will realistically demonstrate at least 3 years senior quality engineering experience gained within a busy manufacturing environment and will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience of working to the requirements of ISO 14001 9001 and TS16949.
Previous experience gained within an engineering environment will prove distinctly advantageous, as will experience in the setting up and use of production software and quality control software applications.
