Description: Night loader required to support a fleet of 50+ vehicles and a busy manufacturing facility by ensuring raw materials are allocated as required and associated documentation maintained.
Our client has been established for more than half a century and are market leaders in the formulation, development and manufacture of animal feed solutions for customers throughout the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Night Loader to complement their professional mill environment team.
Employing more than 250 staff at five sites across the country and with a fleet of more than 50 lorries operating on a 24/7 basis, they ensure feed arrives on time and in full with a real focus on biosecurity prior to delivery, on site and during departure, and the successful Night Loader candidate will ensure the efficient loading and unloading of company products and raw materials in a safe manner whilst complying with all relevant legislation in order to deliver business objectives.
On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting the transport team by discharging the raw materials they deliver into the mill and by loading the vehicles with finished feed ready for the following shift to deliver. This will involve weighing the vehicle in and out on the mill weighbridge to ensure that the vehicle is loaded as per details on the M-tech computer system. In addition, you will consistently complete all relevant documentation relating to each day’s work and return to the transport team to ensure compliance with current road haulage legislation and company policy and procedures.
You will be required to notify the transport team promptly of any faults disclosed by vehicle inspections which are considered to merit immediate attention, ensuring all details of any defects are entered into the vehicle defect log. A vital aspect of this role is performing all duties with due and constant regard for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, and those with whom your duties involve contact.
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should hold a valid HGV (C+E) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card. You should have a working knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Legislation and be able to demonstrate strong skills and experience as an HGV (C+E) driver preferably with bulk blower experience.
