Description: Experienced and organised Site Manager required to coordinate the activities of a busy team and ensure on time within budget project delivery and effective planning to ensure customer satisfaction.
Our client is a global market leader in the provision of highest quality catering infrastructure solutions for supply throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a proactive and experienced Site Manager to complement their established and highly successful Operations division.
Tasked with overseeing the activities of a team of Site Supervisors, Engineers and Labour resources, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of projects within the UK and occasionally Europe and other worldwide locations.
The Site Manager position is both an internal and external role, necessitating working with various internal departments including the Sales, Design and Technical Support teams in the preparation of project delivery plans, and following projects through to the on-site delivery and management of foodservice installations and assisting with the movement and positioning of equipment and units in accordance with the specific project requirements (with such equipment including modular units for both traditional and non-traditional building environments).
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for both profitable delivery of projects (on time and within budget) and for the associated teams tasked with the on-site installations, managing quality issues to ensure that client-specified standards are achieved and working closely with the customer throughout the duration of the project to ensure any changes or delays are resolved promptly and cost efficiently, whilst also ensuring that all HASAW requirements are met and necessary risk assessments are undertaken and safe working practices maintained at all times.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will hold a CSCS competency card as a minimum, (managers card preferred) and demonstrate previous experience of construction site supervision, along with a good level of IT proficiency to ensure efficient communication with the office, clients, contractors and suppliers at all levels.
You will be skilled in supervising and directing a small team working in a fast-moving operational environment, adopting a hands-on approach to support them as required, and able to focus on financial as well as operational performance to ensure cost effective project delivery and customer satisfaction every step of the way.
With a logical approach to problem solving and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload in an often-pressurised environment, you will essentially be able to gain CRB clearance and be flexible to travel to site as required, so a full UK driving licence is also a prerequisite.
