Our client is recognised as the market leading logistics service provider for reusable standard packaging in the European fresh supply chain, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced multiskilled Mobile Maintenance Technician to complement their established and professional team.
Based in Doncaster (with attendance required at their Tamworth and Bedford depots on defined days), the successful candidate will be tasked with performing both Planned Preventative and corrective breakdown repairs (with the focus on PPM) as well as new equipment installation as required on a range of tray washing, baling and automation solutions.
The Mobile Maintenance Technician will be charged with leading the Technical Department in Doncaster, undertaking a range of activities such as ensuring that all preventive measures have been carried out according to the correct methodology, material management, overhauling parts, actively participating in weekly maintenance work, carrying out inspections on the machines and ensuring that all activities are completed within the agreed timescales and maintenance budget.
Additional responsibilities for this varied and challenging role will include (but not be limited to):
- Undertaking PPM in accordance with the maintenance schedule as well as attending breakdown repairs as they may arise.
- Identifying and implementing ongoing continuous improvement activities on washing and baling installations in order to decrease costs, improve efficiency and reliability.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and proper use of the CMMS.
- Working in accordance with relevant H&S and company policies and procedures as applicable
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance / break down activities and corrective actions undertaken.
- Providing training to Shift Leaders regarding the handling and operation of equipment.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity within a genuine market leading solutions provider, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant Electrical Engineering discipline with demonstrable experience gained within a fast-paced process automation environment.
You will possess excellent (verbal and written) communication skills at all levels with a good level of IT literacy in the use of the MS Suite of packages and be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team in an often pressurized environment.
