Description: Multi skilled maintenance technician with proven PLC skills required to support and undertake both PPM and breakdown repair on a range of automated systems and equipment.

As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to complement their established and professional Corby based team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic Controls Maintenance Technician to provide a comprehensive maintenance, breakdown, and repair service on a range of equipment associated with a busy automated warehousing and distribution centre environment, working on a shift basis (6.30am to 2pm and 2pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday each week) and providing Front-to-end support and management of a range of conveyor technical issues.
You will additionally be responsible for the identification of opportunities, development of proposals, and implementation of solutions that deliver tangible improvements to operations and the facilities departments, as well as the management of contractors, suppliers and internal resources, being responsible for the allocation of works, preparation of required specifications and ensuring the contractor delivers to the agreed specification whilst complying at all time to appropriate Health & Safety guidelines, policies, legislation and requirements.
With excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to liaise effectively with various external and internal Operations, Facilities and Projects teams, you will be responsible for the coaching, training and mentoring of team members to ensure best practice is maintained throughout within the Facilities department.
You will provide a consistently quick incident response to Operations related issues; effecting repairs or making adjustments to ensure the maximum uptime, safety and operating efficiency of the equipment and minimal downtimes, taking ownership of associated workshop and administration activities to support this and including spares availability, continuous improvement of procedures and the sourcing of necessary items as required.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will have successfully completed a recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience and demonstrate comprehensive PLC experience – preferably gained with Siemens S7 although comparable platforms will be considered - with proven training and experience in the operation, fault-finding and repair to a range of equipment and systems including basic electronics, industrial electrical applications, pneumatics and hydraulics, motor/gear boxes, drives, conveyors, tools and equipment. Excellent logical problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively plan and manage your time are also key requirements for the position.
You will be highly computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems with demonstrable Electrical and/or Control experience gained within a logistics or manufacturing environment, and essentially possessing experience of working within the pressures associated within a time critical, distribution/operational/manufacturing environment.
