Description: Experienced multi skilled Field Service Engineers required across the Greater London region to undertake both PPM and reactive breakdown and repair activities across of range of conveyor and MHE.
Our client has been established for more than half a century and specialise in the installation and support of conveyor and materials handling solutions for clients throughout the world.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2022 and beyond, they are now seeking to recruit a number of experienced and professional multi skilled (ideally electrically biased) field service engineers to complement their team around the greater London area.
Working on a 47-hour week (8am to 5.30pm) and covering a call out rota on a 1 in 3-week basis, the successful candidate will report to the Regional Service Manager and be responsible for undertaking both PPM and reactive breakdown repairs on a range of conveyor and MHE equipment across the South East region for both mechanical and electrical systems and their associated controls, with training provided for suitably experienced engineers on specific items of equipment.
In addition, you will be responsible for accurately recording and reporting all repair activities using the relevant standard documents provided by the customers and the company and will effectively respond to customer escalations with urgency to resolve their problems. With excellent communication and customer facing skills at all times, you will responsibly manage your company vehicle, tools and stock provided and will thrive within an environment committed to continuous improvement and increased efficiency in all areas.
You will be skilled in preparing and creating technical reports for both internal and external use that can be used for tender and quotation purposes and will ensure that all requirements under Health & Safety legislation and required quality systems are actively adhered to at all times.
To be considered for these varied and challenging positions it is envisaged that successful candidates will be qualified in a relevant engineering discipline to at least HNC level or above and essentially hold a full UK driving licence. Able to be based anywhere in the Greater London area, you will take pride in your work and be committed to delivering the highest standards of work and customer satisfaction at all times and be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team, with relevant H&S qualifications such as CCNSG, CSCS or IOSH proving distinctly advantageous.
