Able to demonstrate previous experience in the management of multidisciplinary maintenance teams within a busy production or heavier industrial or manufacturing environment, you will possess excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to effectively supervise, manage and motivate a team of engineers, as well as fully utilise in-house systems to track progress and coordinate workloads to achieve often demanding production deadlines, with the role often necessitating an active hands-on approach in order to ensure machines leave the factory on time and to the required standard.
Working within a busy shop floor environment on numerous machines at any one time, you will undertake a range of duties including assessing the condition of returned machines to establish their viability and suitability for reconditioning, and will therefore essentially possess comprehensive hands on engineering experience with particular focus on fabrication, electrical and hydraulic systems knowledge, potentially gained within the FLT, agricultural machinery or materials handling sectors, with previous experience gained within the waste machinery sector considered an advantage although not essential. You will also be required to oversee all aspects of Health and Safety within the factory environment with appropriate support.
In a highly competitive environment where customer satisfaction is key, you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to the needs of the business to ensure machines are dispatched as required and customer relationships maintained, whilst mentoring and developing the team and being instrumental in the identification, implementation and sustainment of continuous improvement activities within the fast-paced production environment.
