Description: Multi skilled maintenance professional required to work on a rotating "earlies and lates" pattern undertaking both PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance repair activities on a range of material handling and automation systems.

Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth throughout the UK, they are now looking to recruit a multi discipline automation specialist to complement their established and successful team.
Working on an “earlies and lates” (Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly basis) and reporting to the Residential Support Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a similarly multi skilled team tasked with ensuring that all equipment on site is maintained to the highest standards and the systems in place deliver required demands for operation.
You will be responsible for conducting both reactive breakdown and planned preventative routine servicing and maintenance on a range of automated conveyor systems, packaging machinery, sortation systems, weigh scales and printers, and will monitor the operation as a whole to ensure that any stoppages are dealt with promptly. Additionally, you will keep the customer fully appraised of all stock related issues and use the on-site computerised system to monitor and report on site activity, and using your own technical knowledge and experience, promote any enhancements or additions to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
As the main customer contact on site, you will be responsible for all aspects of staff and equipment on site and will liaise daily with the customer management team on any matters that may arise, so excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team are essential for the position.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least ONC or above in a relevant engineering discipline and possess 17th Edition IEE regs certification. You will be comfortable in working at height, with experience of Siemens PLC software (other platforms considered) and Windows based operating systems proving distinctly advantageous.
