Junior / Trainee Field Service Engineers - Coventry, Milton Keynes and Watford areas
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and specialise in the supply, installation and service of loading bay equipment, high speed doors and roller shutters as well as complete loading bay solutions from dock levellers and scissor lifts through to complete loading dock facilities for clients across the whole of the UK.
With full product training available for the successful candidate, as a service engineer working on commercial automatic doors, barrier equipment and gates, loading bay products, high speed and sectional doors and roller shutters, you will carry out installations, repairs and servicing activities on a range of new and existing products, effectively meeting customer specifications and developing and maintain effective relationships with clients along the way.
Able to demonstrate the willingness and potential to accurately interpret and install equipment as defined in the process documentation, installation manuals and engineering drawing information and specifications, you will assume the lead role for maintenance repair and service contracts so previous Field service experience within the Industry and good all round knowledge of all types of Industrial Doors is essential for the position.
With demonstrable Mechanical Engineering skills with electrical engineering abilities (wiring of control boxes for example) you must be able to pass a CRB check (for security purposes) and hold a valid CSCS card and a full UK driving licence, and possess good communication skills and be willing to be trained in a range of skills and disciplines including electrical, mechanical, welding and hydraulics.
You will be flexible in undertaking work away from home and out of hours and will be confident in working both autonomously and as part of a team whilst using your own initiative, and comfortable in working at height or in confined spaces.
With exceptional customer facing and service skills and the ability to listen to their requirements, previous dedicated experience of working as a Service engineer repairing loading bay equipment and roller shutter doors will prove distinctly advantageous, as will holding an EN16005 Certificate and good general IT skills.
