Description: Multi skilled Field Service professional with refrigeration and electrical maintenance experience required by our globally renowned niche sector client.

Our billion dollar turnover client is recognised as the global market leader in their niche sector of environmental testing solutions and employ more than 8,500 personnel around the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced refrigeration and electrical systems field service engineer to complement their established and professional team.

Tasked with the service and repair of a diverse range of climatic, pharmaceutical and biological chambers of varying sizes, the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role and be fully conversant with commercial and industrial electrical systems with knowledge of refrigeration circuits and systems covering a range of refrigerants, as well as possessing experience with LN2 cooling systems and in brazing, with knowledge of cascade refrigeration and electronic controls/controllers proving distinctly advantageous.

Able to efficiently undertake fault diagnosis and repair of problems associated with controllers and control software (training will be provided), you will be making engineering decisions that comply with all relevant Health & Safety policies and will be used to working autonomously at customer sites in the region.

You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills at all levels and be a proficient user of the Microsoft suite of packages to allow the accurate completion of relevant service documentation and reports as required, realistically qualified to at least C&G 17th Edition IEE regs and C&G F Gas and ODS Regs 2079 or above, as well as possessing a full UK driving licence.

Other duties will include undertaking PPM maintenance, calibration and validation activities on the portfolio of equipment and travelling to different customer locations across the area where necessary as well as undertaking project installation support work in both the UK and overseas when required and attending training at the Head Office location when necessary.

With a flexible approach to ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction, you will keep the service manager and service coordinators fully informed of progress of ongoing work and escalate any issues as required, and will be part of the weekend rota team depending on business capacity and workload at the time, with the role necessitating occasional overnight stays or extended time away from home at customer sites so flexibility is key for success in this position.
