Our client is part of an established Group that specialise in the provision of bespoke materials handling solutions to a diverse range of customers and industry sectors worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to complement their established and professional engineering sales team and manage the day to day activities of the distributor sales force accounts within their international territory.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will undertake a broad range of activities and responsibilities including receiving enquiries, preparing costing information, providing commercial assistance as required, processing sales orders and accurately maintaining the customer database. You will proactively undertake after-sales follow up activity and assist with the preparation of Sales Plan and Budget information as required, whilst ensuring the achievement of the Sales Plan, including sales value and margins as required.
As a skilled communicator at all levels, you will maintain solid relationships with the existing customer network whilst proactively promoting the company’s portfolio of solutions and products and maximising new and repeat business opportunities within your account base.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate previous successful sales and account management experience and be used to working with and supporting Global customers with the main focus in UK and Europe . Able to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a team, you will possess a flexible and forward-thinking approach to your work whilst being able to remain positive and calm within a pressurised environment.
In addition to excellent verbal communication skills, you will be a proficient report writer able to create and deliver quotation and activity documentation as well as sales and quality reports as required.
