Description: Motivated and proactive Production Manager required by our niche sector SPM client to drive a multi skilled team and ensure manufacturing targets and customer satisfaction are maintained.

Salary: to c£40k neg dep exp + benefits

Our client has been established for more than 40 years and specialise in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance, service and repair of an exhaustive range of special purpose waste processing machinery to clients throughout the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Production Manager to complement their established and professional team.

Based near Tamworth and working alongside the Servicing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a small team of multi skilled engineers undertaking a range of machine repair, reconditioning and build activities to often strict timescales and customer deadlines.

With proven production management experience and success gained within a heavier engineering or industrial manufacturing environment, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to effectively supervise, manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team and be able to fully utilise in-house systems to track progress and coordinate workloads to achieve often demanding production deadlines.

Working within a busy shop floor environment on numerous machines at any one time, you will be responsible for assessing the condition of returned machines to establish their viability and suitability for reconditioning, and will therefore essentially possess comprehensive hands on engineering experience with particular focus on fabrication, electrical and hydraulic systems knowledge, potentially gained within the FLT, agricultural machinery or materials handling sectors, with previous experience gained within the waste machinery sector considered an advantage.

In a highly competitive environment where customer satisfaction is key, you will essentially demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to the needs of the business to ensure machines are dispatched as required and customer relationships maintained, whilst mentoring and developing the team and keeping abreast of technological developments within the industry as well as being instrumental in the identification, implementation and sustainment of continuous improvement activities within the fast-paced production environment.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably enthusiastic and self-motivated production management professional to join a highly respected market leader in their niche special purpose machinery sector and offers both stability and progression as well as a generous remuneration and benefits package.
