Description: Proactive and enthusiastic Sales and Business Development Manager required for our market leading automation and MHE solutions provider client.
Salary: to £50k basic + car + generous benefits + realistic OTE £62k or above
Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to complement their established and successful Sales Team.
Reporting to the Engineering Support Business Development Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for proactive new business generation for their bespoke proprietary engineering support services solutions, delivering successful sales and results whilst creating longstanding and commercially beneficial relationships with both consultants and customers in the UK and Europe, promoting the brand name and product portfolio and managing multiple leads simultaneously.
Tasked with the identification and subsequent qualification of leads that fit the product capabilities, you will additionally assist with the further development of the product strategy and both manage and update relevant information using the index CRM system.
You will plan marketing activities to support lead generation and provide formal reports on sales progress monthly to the management team, performing research and investigative work to enable strategic decision-making by others and to understand the competitive position in the market place.

A motivated organiser able to effectively prioritise, you will travel extensively (likely to be away from home for up to 40% of the role) so a clean driving licence and valid passport are essential for the position. Realistically degree qualified (although demonstrable relevant experience within a competitor environment will also be considered), you will demonstrate proven technical abilities and previous project sales experience within an engineering or technical arena.
