You will also undertake Android Application Development for Testing using simple GUI interface and PCB cost estimates and purchase for manufacturing quotes. You will fit, remove and rework through hole and surface mount components on prototype PCB assemblies and be responsible for monitoring a small stock of prototyping components and materials in the electronics lab.
Other duties will include sourcing product design information to better understand current product design activity and alternative methods and materials to ensure the R&D Electronics team are at cutting edge of product design.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role you must have experience in the use of Eagle PCB layout software, excellent electronic hardware knowledge, hand soldering and rework skills including small surface mount components, and previous experience in hand-assembling small electronics-based products.
