Our globally renowned client has been established for almost a century and are specialist solution providers of innovative technologies and processes for water and wastewater treatment to an array of end users throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Projects and Engineering Manager to complement their established and professional team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and achieving assigned area activities (Project Management, Mechanical or Electrical Design), ensuring the on-time and within-budget delivery of agreed requirements with the relevant stakeholder(s), and providing all engineering outputs for UK projects and in support of projects, proposals and development.
You will be responsible for all aspects of successful project implementation, applying project management methods and practices and sound judgment to accomplish the overall objectives, whilst coordinating and supporting the relevant team members as well as external workers, contractors and vendors in line with project requirements.
You will ensure best practice in engineering processes, design methodology, project management, installation and commissioning, and that all engineering activities, project execution, technical initiatives and relevant processes conform to the organization's policies and objectives accordingly, and will establish the feasibility and cost analyses of technical variances and identify all issues or gaps before coordinating reviews to mitigate such risks and supervise the implementation of the approved corrective actions as necessary and required.
Additionally you will keep both the team and stakeholders informed and updated on status as required and will manage the communication and reporting related to tasks progresses, goals and milestones to ensure the delivery of projects within time, budgetary and quality constraints whilst supporting change management and acting in accordance with applicable EHS standards and procedures.
To be considered for this varied and challenging opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and demonstrate at least 10 years’ experience within a senior project management capacity. You will possess excellent communication skills at all levels along with high levels of proficiency in the use of the MS suite of packages and will have excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to detail. Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, you will demonstrate previous success in managing kick-off / pre-inspection meetings, producing and reviewing technical documentation and CAD drawings, commissioning and start-up activities and system validation, and will be familiar with both ISO 9001-2015 quality systems and EHS regulations
