Our client specialises in the provision of a range of monitoring and reliability services within a number of diverse manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Head of Sales to complement the activities of an established and successful team.
With customer sites based throughout the UK, our client enhances the effectiveness of their customer’s maintenance organisations and departments through the development and implementation of various reliability strategies and techniques, and they are looking to identify a suitably experienced Head of Sales with extensive previous experience of technical contract management, commercial delivery and engineering maintenance work to coordinate the activities of a team selling such service benefits and solutions to a range of clients across the country.
In addition to effective existing account management activities, the successful candidate will work closely with the Internal Sales team in order to devise and implement effective marketing strategies and present the company’s products to prospective customers, handling product demonstrations and presentations when required and responding to technical questions as necessary.
You will be responsible for overseeing the activities of a team of experienced sales professionals and ensuring they qualify opportunities, validate technical requirements and provide accurate product recommendations as appropriate as well as responding efficiently to RFI’s and RFP’s, engaging appropriate internal resources in order to help close opportunities and following up with prospective customers during the evaluation phase.
To be considered for this varied and extremely challenging and rewarding role, it is envisaged that you will demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience gained within a technical sales manager role with a demonstrable appreciation of engineering maintenance and Mechanical Engineering related scenarios.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of successful lead generation, supplier liaison and marketing activities and be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team, and IT proficient and familiar with CMMS, MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
