The successful Workshop Supervisor candidate will be based in Tamworth and responsible for managing the workshop engineer’s workload, ensuring the timely refurbishment of machines in the unit whilst being responsible for inspecting them prior to delivery and ensuring that site installations run smoothly. A hands on approach with a background in mechanical / electrical / hydraulic engineering is essential, with welding experience proving distinctly advantageous.
You must have the ability to motivate and lead the production team, and with assistance be able to organise the workshop workload to meet deadlines. As head of the workshop you must have proven management experience and leadership skills.
You will attend weekly production meetings with assisting admin staff and the General Manager where you will be expected to fully brief everyone on the production of the workshop.
Organisation and motivation are key to this role. For the right candidate this will lead to a more senior managerial position.
To be considered for this varied and challenging Workshop Supervisor role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate previous hands on experience gained within an electrical, mechanical or hydraulic maintenance engineering environment and possess strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and activities at any one time supported by the administration team when required.
