Location: Home based - South East of England region

Description: Experienced Compliance Engineers required to cover predominantly the South East of England and conduct technical surveys and report findings to clients in the area.

Salary: £ excellent - neg dep - c£30k - £40k dep exp

Our client has been established for almost 30 years and employs more than 60 staff, and specialise in the provision of a range of consultancy services including electrical and mechanical design and condition and compliance surveys for a diverse range of customers and applications throughout the UK. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a number of experienced and highly self-motivated Compliance Engineers to complement their established and professional team.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer and working within an ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 accredited environment, the successful Compliance Engineers will be based from home and required to travel throughout the UK, utilising “hot desk” facilities as required in Leeds and Bristol. You will undertake site surveys at client premises across the country utilising mobile technology to meet the requirements of the brief, utilising bespoke software and cloud data collection applications that allow for the prompt delivery of technical reports with clear analysis of the data required by clients and include the specification and management of remedial actions as required.
There are currently requirements for two Compliance Engineers based in the South East:

Mechanical Engineer

NEBOSH Qualified or train to achieve the NEBOSH certificate 
Practical Legionella Risk Assessment Qualifications 
Electrical Engineer

NEBOSH Qualified or train to achieve the NEBOSH certificate 
Provision and Use of Workplace Equipment Regulations (PUWER) Qualified or train to achieve the PUWER Assessor certificate 

Other duties will include maintaining an up to date knowledge of new techniques and technologies by participating in conferences and attending Continual Professional Development sessions as well as reading technical information available in various media sources, and you will be responsible for the provision of technical support and services to clients across the country and for undertaking the role as lead consultant on various projects as required.

To be considered for these varied and challenging Compliance Engineers roles, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate relevant qualifications (BTEC or equivalent) and a NEBOSH General certificate with relevant experience gained within a project consultancy environment. Knowledge of ACoP L8 and design skills in particular specialisms will prove distinctly advantageous, as will knowledge of Terms of agreement and Contract Documentation creation and presentation. You will be able to produce detailed drawings and perform job costing exercises as necessary and be confident in working within ISO 9001 & 14001 processes.
