Our client has been established for over 25 years and specialise in the design, manufacture, installation and aftercare of bespoke to modular automation and materials handling solutions. Providing a service to the market leading industries from pharmaceutical, distribution, recycling, baggage handling, food suppliers and many more varied industries across the UK and rest of the world.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience within a manufacturing facility to assist in production processes and to operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products. To operate machinery and equipment to trim, grind and vulcanise rubber products into final form. To make minor adjustments or repairs to products, lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly, inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards, check and monitor product quality and adjust machinery and equipment to the proper settings. Further duties will include the operation of manufacturing machinery including powder coating equipment, assembly of customers machines prior to despatch and to successfully run a task with little to no supervision. The ability to assess the job requirement using your own skills and initiative is also desirable.
You will be required to undertake the occasional site works to either assist an engineer in the repair of damaged belts or under your own initiative once full training has been acquired, therefore it is essential that you have a full clean driving licence, a flexible approach and the willingness for overnight stays including occasional weekends. You will have the capability of documenting and capturing machine/site information, feeding back into the business ensuring further opportunities are secured. The successful candidate will be trained in the correct applications and procedures that are essential for this role.
