Description: Mechanically biased Field Service Engineer required for globally renowned fastener specialist.

Our client has been established for almost 150 years and is a global market leader in their niche systems, fastening and assembly sector, employing more than 2,500 staff and with a presence in 28 countries around the world.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now actively seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and experienced mechanically biased Field Service Engineer to complement their highly successful team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the Service and breakdown repair of equipment as well as Installation and commissioning activities, repairing and servicing installation tools and responding to direct customer enquiries as they may arise.
You will perform demonstrations and provide training on company equipment and liaise closely with the Purchasing function for all aspects of Spare parts control. Other duties will include Providing support to Sales Engineers in the field, assisting with the Set-Up and Tear-down of Exhibitions and prospecting and developing sales of equipment where such opportunities arise.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will essentially possess a full clean UK driving licence and will be flexible to travel (including abroad for company training), and will be a skilled problem solver comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team.
You will be IT literate and demonstrate comprehensive skills and experience of working with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and general Mechanical repair along with 24v control systems, and will be an effective communicator at all levels and confident in interpreting manuals, spare parts diagrams, drawings and schematics.
Whilst previous experience of fastening assembly systems will be distinctly advantageous, other relevant engineering experience will be considered. The ideal applicant would already be a service technician with some experience perhaps in a factory environment, looking to develop their career into field service in a customer facing environment.
