Our client has been established for more than three decades and are recognised as market leaders in their niche sector of the design and manufacture of alarm call systems for supply to hospitals, prisons and care homes throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and highly self-motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to complement their established and professional team.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for a range of duties that will include production testing and processes, production fault diagnosis and resolutions and customer returned service repairs.
You will be tasked with liaising closely with the design and development team in order to ensure the smooth transfer from development into production of all new products, and undertake the development and creation of test fixtures to ensure full production test as well as creating test procedures and associated documentation.
Additionally, you will analyse production failures and provide feedback of data to the design team, and will review and implement production processes to improve yield and efficiency on a continuous improvement basis whilst managing the in-house production test and service and repair functions.
Other responsibilities will include providing training and assistance to sub-contractors as necessary and both generating and maintaining BOM’s and relevant documentation for both existing and new products whilst working the sales and purchasing teams to ensure that customer’s expectations are achieved and maintained.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least degree level in a relevant electronic engineering discipline and demonstrate proven skills and experience in microcontroller PCB board fault diagnosis and repair from circuit diagrams as well as good soldering skills.
With comprehensive abilities in the use of the MS Suite of packages, you will be proficient in the use of oscilloscopes and digital volt meters and skilled in the rework and rectification of circuit boards down to component level, with experience of Microchip PIC microcontrollers, ethernet and TCP/IP configuration and Batch Controller MSP proving distinctly advantageous.
