Our client has a rich heritage spanning almost 200 years and is recognised globally as a market leading provider of bespoke solutions to the renewable energy and power plant sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic EC&I Technician to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the EC&I Technician will work on a Monday to Friday – 8am to 4.30pm basis and be responsible for the EC&I planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance and repair activities and coordination of 3rd party suppliers, ensuring the plant is maintained with respect to safety, environmental, OEM and industry recognised best practice guidelines in order to deliver the highest levels of availability, reliability and efficiency.
As an EC&I Technician, you will undertake practical application and timely diagnosis, fault finding and scheduled/unscheduled repair and maintenance activities on all EC&I plant / apparatus and systems, and both ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance work is completed and updated within the CMMS and that relevant site engineering and maintenance procedures and management instructions are complied with at all times, undertaking reviews of such documents as required. You will also provide support and input into the sites engineering integrity strategy and asset risk register, for all EC&I assets.
You will also undertake and support the daily PPM activities in line with the agreed CMMS plan, liaising with HSEQ and operations colleagues and submitting the required CMMS/Safety System documents and RAMS within the locally agreed timeframes, and undertake proactive measures to improve plant reliability, efficiency and performance, whilst maintaining overall plant integrity in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. You will own or provide contract ownership to a number of 3rd party contract providers to assist in the delivery of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, that will potentially include but not be limited to:
o General plant lighting / electrical systems
o UPS/Battery Maintenance
o Switchgear maintenance, Earthing & Lightning and PAT
o Dry & Wet Fire Systems + Fire Detection
o CEMS - AST / QAL2 + undertake in-house QAL3
o WTP calibrations/test
o Instrument Calibrations – Beamex Based
o DCS / HMI /PLC / SCADA
o Software Licenses(CMMS/NISOFT/Incident system)
o Loadcell/weighbridge Calibration
You will also ensure the EC&I spares including strategic spares are controlled, replenished in line with agreed levels and secured at all times, and will demonstrate previous experience gained in the maintenance of motors, switchgear, instruments and associated SCADA systems.
