Description: Experienced Conveyor Belt Vulcaniser / Rubber Belt Technician required by market leading materials handling solutions provider.

Salary: c£21k + generous overtime / bonus / benefits - realistic OTE c£27k+


Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and specialise in the design, development and installation of a range of bespoke and modular automation and materials handling solutions for supply to food, pharmaceutical, distribution, recycling and baggage handling customers across the globe. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and highly self-motivated Manufacturing Utility and Assisting Rubber Belt Technician to complement their established and successful team.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will essentially demonstrate previous experience gained within a manufacturing facility and will assist in production processes and in operating machines and equipment to cut, shape, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products. 


Other duties will include operating machinery or equipment to trim, grind or buff rubber products into their final form and to make minor adjustments or repairs to products, lay outing and preparing rubber materials for assembly, and inspecting finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards. You will also check and monitor product quality, affix seals or tags to approved products where necessary and adjust machinery and equipment to the proper settings as required.


Additionally, you will operate various items of manufacturing machinery including powder coating equipment, and will undertake the assembly of customer machines prior to despatch whilst working autonomously and using your own skills and initiative as appropriate.


You will undertake occasional site assistance activities and it is therefore essential that you have a full clean driving licence, along with a flexible approach and the ability to undertake overnight stays away and occasional weekend work when required. You will have the capability of documenting and capturing machine/site information and feeding this back into the business ensuring further opportunities are secured.
