Our established and highly successful consultancy client specialise in the provision of a range of bespoke project engineering solutions from concept through to commission, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to complement their professional and successful team.
Servicing clients across a range of market sectors that include Waste to Energy, Aerospace, Automotive and Construction, the successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of successful sales within a technical and engineering environment and will be tasked with the proactive development of both new and existing customers across the UK.
A skilled and effective influencer and communicator at all levels, you will regularly attend trade fairs and meetings with customers in order to ascertain requirements and deliver presentations on the solutions available, and carry out site and equipment surveys as required.
Additionally, you will be charged with the identification and development of new customer markets and areas in which the company can expand its’ existing market activities and potentially diversify into other sectors on commercially viable projects, and be responsible for handling and progressing in bound enquiries to their natural conclusion.
Other activities will include assisting in the generation of both new sales enquiries, providing input into concept design solutions in line with the customer requirements, preparing and presenting tender documentation to customers and liaising extensively with the internal design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning departments to ensure that contractual obligations are adhered to, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times including after sales care and support. You will also be responsible for maintaining associated sales records and registers and or providing detailed sales performance statistics and forecasts to the management team as required.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least HNC level or above in a mechanical engineering discipline and demonstrate at least 3 years’ previous experience gained within a technical solution sales environment. Essentially, you will hold a full clean UK driving licence and will be flexible to travel throughout the UK as required.
