Our client, established for more than a century and renowned globally as a market leader in their specialist field, is urgently seeking to recruit a highly self-motivated, proactive and dynamic Production Controller to join their dynamic and professional team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of material planning are understood and under control and that manufacturing schedules are up to date. Scheduling and coordinating the production work flow to support customer demand, to include both preparing and delivering customer delivery dates for new and existing orders through consultation and communication with other departments. The role will mean close liaison with the sales organisation as well as customers on order status.
Other responsibilities will include the preparation and maintenance of the forward order book and despatch reports and for ensuring that transport is organised for customers in line with agreed deadlines.
Skilled in evaluating and prioritising the urgency of Planning issues, you will understand, implement and communicate standards and requirements across the organisation as a whole and will integrate customer expectations into the operations of all supporting facilities, both domestically and internationally.
To be considered for this exceptionally varied and challenging position, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified or able to demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience within a busy manufacturing environment, and possess exceptional communication, planning and organisational skills. With proven skills in multiple product scheduling, you will demonstrate proven leadership abilities as well as an adaptable and decisive approach within an often pressurised environment.
With excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels, you will be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of packages and be motivated by results, committed to both effective problem resolution and continuous process improvement within a global operation.
