Description: Multi skilled Test Engineer required to develop and implement test and integration solutions on a range of software and hardware projects within a busy automation environment.

Working as part of a team, you will participate in various system design reviews to provide a test and operational perspective and both building and developing in house capabilities for integrated testing. You will be involved in new product development and in the recommendation of product developments relating to test systems, reviewing Project Operational Descriptions, Systems Functional Specifications (FS), Controls FS and designs as well as stress testing and MHE cycling tests with respect to having a complete understanding of all aspects of a project, whilst assisting with the development of the project quality plan and being responsible for ensuring quality throughout the project process.
You will additionally be responsible for providing support to the commissioning team and the customer during the first weeks of live operation and training them in the use of the project solution provided, identifying areas of risk if applicable and using your experience gained on previous projects and in previous companies to challenge the software design and system operation including the use of ‘Bugzilla’ to report faults in core package software.
It is envisaged that you will typically travel within the UK (or Europe on occasions) during the on-site testing phase of a project and will be assessed on the quality of the delivered solution and your contribution to the overall project success and will realistically be qualified to at least HND or above in a relevant engineering or technical discipline. You will essentially demonstrate exceptional communication skills at all levels and be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team and be committed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction whilst able to consistently look for continuous improvement in both product and processes. You will possess at least 2 years experience of working within a systems application testing environment with dedicated WMS applications experience proving distinctly advantageous. You will be skilled in all aspects of beta testing and fault logging accurately with previous automation sector experience again proving beneficial.
