Sales & Business Development Manager - London to £35k + Comm + ben

Our client specialise in all aspects of architectural metalwork to a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced, highly self motivated and dynamic business development professional to compliment the established successful team, and to develop new and existing clients within a specific region. The successful candidate will both identify new sales leads and projects while developing relationships with new and existing clients, and  will be required to estimate and convert into orders an agreed amount of business to meet sales and margin targets which will be set for each financial year.
Based from home, the position essentially demands a proactive, disciplined and self motivated approach, and you will demonstrate proven experience and success in lead generation and proactively seeking opportunities for new business, developing those new and existing areas of the business, producing and updating potential sales forecasts and managing customer expectations at all times from quotation stage through to order.
You will provide the initial response to all sales enquiries via email or telephone, logging all quotes on the CRM quotation system and booking and attending appointments with clients to establish their requirements in exhaustive detail, before following projects through from overseeing and undertaking estimating duties to ensuring health and safety requirements are considered at the estimating stages, and completing follow up calls to customers after the quotation is submitted, again updating the CRM system and actioning all feedback and sales leads as required. Additionally you will be extensively involved in post contract analysis and ensuring the achievement of set sales target and margins.
To be considered for this challenging and exciting opportunity, you will demonstrate proven commercial awareness and essentially, knowledge and experience gained within a metalwork fabrications and welding environment, with an appreciation of architectural metalwork proving distinctly advantageous. You will possess excellent communication and relationship development and management skills, as well as high levels of IT literacy and H&S knowledge.
