Ref: PTR10/1024 Location: West Midlands Description: Enthusiastic and highly self motivated Junior sales professional required to join a busy and challenging Proposals Team. Salary: to £19k plus benefits Our client specialize in the design and supply of equipment used in the treatment of domestic and industrial water and wastewater, and as a result of recent positive restructuring and a series of strategic acquisitions, are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly self motivated graduate level Sales and Proposals Engineer to compliment their existing team. Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager, the successful candidate will be tasked with undertaking a range of sales account management activities, preparing quotes and following up on all enquiries received in the busy and dynamic sales office environment.
You will perform various Account management responsibilities with both new and existing customers, whilst maintaining and developing a strong working relationship, that will occasionally require some site visits, inspections and surveys. You will additionally interpret potential customer’s requirements and become an expert in the selection of relevant spare/replacement parts for the company range of products.
Additionally you will utilise internal systems including contract records/machine parts lists and will liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to establish the parts required and costs, before producing a quotation for the parts required and submitting this to the customer, before following up quotations with customer and providing any additional assistance necessary to secure order, as well as acknowledging receipt of orders and entering details into the internal computer system for processing.
To be considered for this varied, challenging and highly exciting opportunity within an industry recognised market leader, you will demonstrate a relevant Engineering qualification and ideally Water/Waste water or related industry experience. Previous Proposal, Quotation or Design experience will prove to be distinctly advantageous as will strong IT Skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to effectively plan and organize is essential, as is the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst adopting a flexible approach to work and travel.
