Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - North Nottingham - to £26k+ benefits

Salary: to £26,500 plus benefits

 

Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of materials handling solutions, and as a result of recent positive internal restructuring and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit a multi discipline shift maintenance professional to compliment their existing team.
 
The site operates on a 24/7 basis, and with the company priding itself on the high quality service it provides to its’ customers across the country, it is essential that they now recruit a similarly committed and highly professional maintenance team member to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and the systems meet the required demands.
 
Core responsibilities for this mechanically biased shift maintenance position will include:
 
  • Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on range of automated cranes, conveyors and general materials handling systems and equipment within a busy distribution centre environment
  • Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly.
  • Assisting the site manager with any safety issues which may arise.
  • Promoting any enhancements or additions required via correct channels.
  • Provide cover alongside other team members for holidays and sickness.
 
This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic and self motivated maintenance engineer to join a team responsible for the ongoing efficiency of fully automated cranes and conveyor systems that handle more than 50,000 pallets per month.
To be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will demonstrate a relevant recognized qualification, genuine strong mechanical and electrical fault find, diagnosis and repair abilities (ideally exposure to S7 PLC’s will be distinctly advantageous although training can be given), experience of working at heights (up to 17m) and also of working both autonomously and as part of a team. Working on a 3 shift basis (week of mornings, week of afternoons and week of nights – 8pm to 6am, 6am to 1pm and 1pm to 9pm), this is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experience and committed individual to join an established and successful team within a modern working environment alongwith a mapped career progression path and excellent remuneration package being available.
