Our client specialise in the provision of managed services for all aspects of production equipment maintenance within a diverse range of manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a number of Multi Discipline maintenance engineers to compliment their existing team.

Based in the West Midlands and reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager, successful candidates will undertake both planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repair on a range of both electrical and mechanical systems and machinery and tooling, necessitating the dismantling of devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations, and repairing or replacing defective parts where appropriate.

In accordance with good “housekeeping” practices, you will additionally be responsible for various “facilities maintenance” activities on the associated grounds and building exterior, performing routine electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs when required. The successful candidates will provide support and back up for other members of the department as needed and will regularly complete technical self-study programs for career development as part of an ongoing programme of training and development.

To be considered for one of these exciting opportunities offering genuine stability and progression, you will be a team player able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, and will be able to read technical drawings, use measuring instruments, perform basic failure analysis work with an understanding of electronic components to troubleshoot and repair and also a basic knowledge of the use of hand and power tools. Additionally you may be required to set up and operate equipment being used to make and repair parts, with examples of these including lathes, drill presses, grinders and other metalworking tools and simple welding tasks.In return, an excellent working environment, training and development programme and benefits package are available for suitably capable and enthusiastic individuals.
