Ref: PTR10/972 Location: Northampton Description: Enthusiastic spares team leader professional required to coordinate the activities of a busy spares, parts and sales team. Salary: to £40,000 plus benefits As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, our client is seeking to recruit an extremely enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated Spares Team Leader to compliment their existing Spares team. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be solely responsible for the management of the Spares, Parts & Sales Operation. Core duties and responsibilities will include managing the internal and external customer base, ensuring on-time deliveries to customers and in order to meet their expectations, maintaining agreed profit levels and improving sales turnover through effective interaction with both current and historic customers, as well as assisting in the generation of new business and both developing and implementing effective KPI’s to ensure success in required areas.
Additionally you will manage the efficient operation of the stores and stock holding, reviewing supplier performance and making changes as appropriate, and conducting cost reduction programmes whilst reviewing and implementing pricing policy to protect the company market share.
It will be evident that exceptional communication skills will be essential to ensure success in this position, directly responsible for 3 staff members and a sales budget of more than £4m, and involving extensive communication with the field service team as well as external customers.
A flexible and adaptable approach are essential for the role, and you will be capable of undertaking high level strategic activities one moment before undertaking low level parts ordering and expediting the next, so experience within a similarly dynamic and professional selling environment will prove distinctly advantageous.
