Salary: to £30k plus benefits French Speaking Technical Support Engineer (Controls) - to £30k Bedfordshire For more than 2 decades, our globally recognised client has specialised in the design, development and implementation of realtime control software solutions (Industrial information systems and SCADA) to a diverse range of blue chip clients allied to the nuclear, water treatment, transportation infrastructure, electricity and building management sectors.
As a result of continued success and a planned programmed on ongoing strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly self motivated International Technical Support and Product Training professional to compliment their established and successful team covering both the UK and overseas.
Reporting jointly to both the International Operations Manager in the UK and Technical Support Manager in France, you will be responsible for the provision of pre and post sales technical support and product training to a range of customers as well as to the International sales team, assisting technically with pre sales demonstrations and providing both office based and occasional on site problem solving solutions at customer locations, necessitating direct liaison and support to the French technical team and their own customers in France when required.
It is therefore essential that the successful candidate is fluent in French, in order to assist with technical translations for the company websites and training course documentation, and provide constructive input when attending meetings with other team members in Paris and creating and maintaining company information and reporting systems to management when required.
The successful candidate will be based in the Bedfordshire area and demonstrate comprehensive skills and experience in the understanding and application of realtime SCADA and PLC control systems, with an appreciation of VB, C# programming, Active-X and .net proving to be distinctly advantageous. An understanding of MS Windows operating systems and networking and an appreciation of realtime communication between h/w and s/w sub-systems will also prove beneficial.
