Ref: PTR10/933 Location: Home based - UK coverage Description: Technical Manager required within a busy training and assessment consultancy required to oversee the delivery of a range of training courses throughout the UK and including PAT Testing, Inspection and Test and 17th Edition IEE regs. Salary: to £38k + generous mileage expenses and all accommodation costs Our client excel in the delivery of a range of training courses throughout the UK, including PAT Testing, Inspection and Test and 17th Edition IEE regs as well as renewable technology training, to experienced electrical and mechanical contractors and other engineering professionals who need industry recognised qualifications as a secondary requirement to their main trade. As a result of ongoing success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly self motivated and experienced Technical Manager to cover the building services and renewable technologies team and perform the role of lead technical advisor for MCS and CPS assessors on a day to day basis, whilst acting as the authority for all technical decisions relating to assessments and handling first line technical enquiries associated with MCS and CPS inspections and investigating any issues relating to complaints.
The successful candidate will be involved with the internal verification of scheme documentation and course assessment portfolios, and will undertake their own MCS and CPS assessments, providing comprehensive technical input into the scheme development and implementation whilst representing the organisation at exhibitions, trade shows and seminars and promoting certification schemes and all other activities and all at every opportunity.
Additionally, you will support the project and scheduling manager in ensuring that sufficient assessor resources are in place for required geographical areas and you will regularly present and deliver training courses and seminars within a specified regional area.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is essential that suitable candidates demonstrate exceptional communication skills, experience and L3 NVQ qualifications in a building services discipline (heating, plumbing or electrical engineering) AND the installation of one or more renewable technologies sector and a full clean driving licence.
