Our client has for a number of decades been a market leader in the supply of connector and cable solutions for a range of engineering sector applications, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth for 2010, are now seeking an enthusiastic, highly self motivated and dynamic Regional Sales Manager with relevant experience to compliment the activities of a successful team.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with achieving financial and performance targets as well as objectives allocated on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, with key duties and responsibilities to include:
•Managing existing customer accounts within a defined sales territory.
•Identifying new customer requirements for company products and services providing the necessary technical and pricing information to gain business – support & training
provided.
•Self generation of sales leads.
•Following up on sales leads provided by the Marketing Department and Internal Sales team
•Identifying new areas of growth within the marketplace, product mix and new markets.
•Develop solutions / project sales, ensuring company products gain maximum exposure.
•Liaise with internal sales team on management of territory business.
•Provide forecasts and budgets as required on territory activity.
•Participation in monthly Sales Meetings.
•Organising and maintaining accurate records, call plans and providing regular reports to management.
To be considered for this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you will demonstrate proven success in increasing business levels and achieving the maximum GPM for all products, whilst maintaining good customer relations with clients and having been involved in the development of company “presence” in the marketplace. You will be used to creating monthly sales statistics reports and will enjoy keeping up-to-date with technical developments and information, keeping a close eye on competitor products and activity to stay ahead of the game.
Whilst the role is home based, you will be flexible to travel throughout the East Midlands region, working from 9am to 5.30pm although this will of course be dependent on territory size and customer locations.
Are you highly motivated with a desire to achieve targets? Do you have experience in selling electrical cable or connector solutions to any market sectors? Are you able to manage your own “work and visit” programme, supporting this with the ability to establish good working relationships and utilise your proven negotiation skills? With a requirement for strong IT skills (Excel and Word proficiency is essential) and ideally knowledge of SAP, this is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably dynamic and capable business development professional to progress their career within a stable and progressive environment.
