As a result of continued success and a planned ongoing program of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit a high calibre, confident individual who displays self motivation, commitment and the ability and initiative to manage projects, reporting directly to the Systems Manager.
Tasked with a range of duties, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer facing skills, as the role necessitates being based at a local Birmingham manufacturing facility for 3 days out of 5 each week directly working with their customer.
To be considered for this challenging position, you will demonstrate experience of control panel design activities and design approvals as well as associated PLC control software development and implementation. Customer satisfaction is key to the position and the ability to understand their explicit requirements and translate these to effective control software and hardware solutions is essential – drawing on your own experience as well as the support resources available from the rest of the team.
Experience therefore in Project Engineering, liaising with Clients, Sub-contractors and other Company Divisions, exposure to estimating and generating Quotations as well as fundamental Electrical Design, including Electrical Schematics, Control Panel GA’s, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable / Termination Schedules, Bill of Materials experience is essential.
Can you demonstrate experience of taking project specs from customers and taking these from concept to handover and commission, providing hardware and software design input along the way and ensuring on time within budget delivery?
