Ref: PTR09/627 Location: Swindon, Wiltshire Description: Assertive, confident and highly self motivated man manager required to drive and coordinate the activities of a new product introduction team Salary: to £34k plus benefits Our client, a leading automotive component manufacturing organisation based in Swindon, is seeking to recruit a highly articulate and enthusiastic man-manager to coordinate an established team of engineering professionals.
The challenges of this position are unusual, in that an established team are in place already and the successful candidate will ESSENTIALLY demonstrate an assertive man management style in order to ensure results from their team, ideally gained within a previous automotive / project management environment.
The successful candidate will ensure that the effective new model build is established to the required standard for both customer and company specifications, and this will be achieved through effective management of a team of local managers, overseeing
Reporting directly to the Production Support Department Manager, it is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates a full understanding of New Model Processes, and will be highly self motivated with comprehensive experience of man-management. Additionally you will possess Presentation and Project Planning Skills and be comfortable in providing presentations. Previous exposure to MRP systems will be advantageous as would Japanese language skill, although of primary importance is an understanding of engineering drawings.
