Ref: PTR09/606 Location: West Midlands Description: Exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Engineer to work within a Blue Chip organisation following projects trhough from tender and quotation to site survey and project delivery Salary: to £20k plus benefits Our client specialize in the design and supply of equipment used in the treatment of domestic and industrial water and wastewater, and as a result of recent positive restructuring and a series of strategic acquisitions that have provided the organisation with recognized trademarks, cutting edge technology and access to new markets including sea water desalination and energy, they offer a complete range of both solutions and products on a Global basis and are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Sales and Proposals professional able to follow projects through to site visit and inspection survey stages to compliment their existing team.
Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager within the Utilities Division, the successful candidate will focus on a range of Sales account management activities, preparing quotes and following up enquiries for all products in the division, with duties and responsibilities including:
- Account management with customers - maintaining a working relationship and requiring some site visits, inspections and surveys.
- Interpreting potential customer’s requirements and selecting relevant spare / replacement parts for the range of products
- Utilising internal systems including contract records / machine parts lists and liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to establish parts required & costs
- Producing quotations for the parts required and submitting to customers
- Following up quotations with customer and providing any additional assistance necessary to secure orders
- Acknowledging receipt of orders and entering into internal computer system for processing
To be considered for this exciting and varied opportunity, the successful candidate will have attained an engineering qualification and ideally (although not essential) Water / Waste water or related industry experience. Previous Proposal, Quotation or Design experience would be advantageous as will good IT Skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will demonstrate planning and organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with a flexible approach to work.
