Based in the East Midlands, our client specialise in the provision of bespoke controls solutions to the Power Generation and Energy sector, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious Project Manager to join their established and successful team within the internationally renowned organisation.
With an impressive portfolio of multi-national customers, the successful candidate will adopt a hands-on approach to Project Management, and will therefore demonstrate a strong engineering background, ideally gained from a design background although experience allied to control systems design and rotating equipment is preferable.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the Control and management of projects throughout their lifecycle, interfacing with clients on commercial and technical issues and tasked with the identification and allocation of resource, Management and control of project budgets and the associated control of sub-contractors.
Additionally, you will coordinate project design from customer specification to final handover stages, producing design and test specifications from customer specifications and conducting design reviews, as well as overseeing both works and factory tests and subsequent installation and commissioning.
To be successful in this role, it is envisaged that candidates will demonstrate a high level of experience in a similar role, possessing excellent control system design experience (allied to Turbine or rotating equipment and systems), preferably with experience of Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC’s and a relevant engineering qualification.
