Our client is a highly successful and highly regarded organisation that provides innovative bespoke project solutions that utilise high integrity integrated SCADA, video and audio systems using IP technology for their niche product offering. As a result of ongoing success, an opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated and hard working software engineer with a flare for the practical aspects of software engineering to provide in-house code solutions to support their project engineering team.

The role will cover working on a range of diverse and technically challenging projects from simple test routines to complex real-time software products and solutions, and key requirements will include:

A good software or electronics engineering degree with 5 or more years’ experience in real-time and/or control software engineering development.
Ability to cover turnkey software project delivery from requirement capture through development, formal testing and support
Good time management skills
Ability to understand the wider overall project requirements to identify the optimum software related aspects and associated solution
Capability to adapt and take responsibility for the most effective delivery of a range of projects under your own initiative to meet agreed deadlines.
Skills should include as many of the following elements as possible:

C/C++/C#

PIC ASM

VB / VBA

Dbases & SQL

Software / Hardware integration experience

Basic electronic design knowledge

Experience with PIC microcontrollers
