Our client has been established for more than half a century and specialise in the procurement and supply of highest quality fresh FMCG produce to customers throughout the UK and Europe. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of ongoing strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Commercial Analyst to complement their professional commercial team.
Tasked with effectively interpreting retailer data, establishing key facts and making recommendations in order to ensure best possible customer service, the successful commercial analyst candidate will maintain KPI reports and report back in a timely fashion and undertake extensive analysis of market data, establishing trends and reporting retailer performance versus the market / competitors.
Other responsibilities will include providing accurate and structured statistical information within agreed formats in a timely manner and managing customer relationships at the analyst level, regularly visiting retail head offices as required (so a full UK driving licence is essential for the position) and ensuring customer confidentiality at all times.
You will become conversant with customer stock / wastage systems and be able to clearly identify issues and make recommendations based upon the statistical data received, and will demonstrate the essential communication skills required to liaise individual depot and store managers in order to understand key issues and obstacles to supply and to be able to offer solutions that best service the retailer and the client.
You will assist in achieving retailers’ agreed service level KPIs relating to in stock positions and wastage etc and will work closely with the commercial team in providing forecast orders whilst developing strong relationships with the internal management team and becoming conversant in market statistics (Kantar World Panel) and being able to interpret data and produce presentations based upon the conclusions reached.
