Technical Sales Engineer

Our client has been established for more than a decade and specialises in the design, development and manufacture of a diverse range of metal cutting solutions for an array of applications to customers across the globe.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a proactive, dynamic and self motivated technical sales and business development professional to join their established and successful team. As part of a larger group and with their Head Office based in the West Midlands, the role allows for the successful candidate to be located anywhere in the country.
You will be tasked with a combination of existing account management and proactive new business development activities to clients throughout the UK, visiting customer sites and selling metal cutting technical solutions to the respective plant managers and engineers.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate proven previous success gained in a technical solution sales and engineering environment, and will be skilled in understanding customer’s technical requirements.
Whilst previous experience in the metal cutting sector would prove distinctly advantageous, the main requirement for the position is demonstrable proven success gained within an engineering and technical sales environment, along with a full clean driving licence, as a company vehicle is provided to facilitate visits to customer sites.
Full product portfolio training will be available, and applications are invited from individuals who can demonstrate a relevant engineering background, but who may be looking to develop a career within a technical sales environment.
